Series: American Bedtime Stories
This narrative painting series unfolds like fevered dreams, where allegory and history collide in scenes charged with drama and unrest. Against vivid backdrops of fire, rioters surge and presidents pose, while mythic figures on horseback evoke a fractured vision of heroism. Some created during the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan resonate with newer work painted recently in the current political landscape. These works capture a nation at a crossroads, its democracy challenged, its identity uncertain.
