In my shop you will find upcycled vintage platters, trays and china with decorative features such as gilding patterns and unique designs creating useful art and heirloom reboots. Inspired by my grandmother's porcelain china which was saved for special occasions, I juxtapose my contemporary culture-inspired layers on them. They feature warm and joyful colors that represent swirling down memory lane, from one generation to another which happily assimilated from one culture and leaving behind memories of another. Others have a Mixtec pattern inspired by ancient ruins in the state of Oaxaca and brings forward memories of my Mexican ancestry.
